Pool Filtration Solutions

Cellulose fiber filter media is a highly effective alternative to diatomaceous earth (DE) for swimming pool filtration systems. Manufactured from renewable plant-based fibers, cellulose filter media helps capture fine particles, dirt, oils, algae, and other contaminants while producing exceptionally clear water. Unlike DE, cellulose fiber is biodegradable, easy to handle, and can be used in many DE and sand filter systems to improve filtration performance.

Pool owners and commercial aquatic facilities use cellulose filter media to reduce maintenance, improve water quality, and achieve filtration levels comparable to or better than traditional DE products. When added to DE filters or used to enhance sand filtration systems, cellulose fibers create a highly efficient filter cake that traps fine particles while maintaining excellent water flow.

Fiber Group LLC manufactures premium cellulose fiber filter media designed for residential pools, commercial pools, water parks, aquatic facilities, and recreational water systems seeking a cleaner, more sustainable filtration solution.

FAQ's

Why use cellulose fiber instead of DE in pool filters?

Cellulose fiber provides excellent filtration performance while offering a biodegradable alternative to diatomaceous earth. Many pool owners choose cellulose because it is easier to handle, environmentally friendly, and capable of producing exceptionally clear water.

Can cellulose fiber be used in a sand filter?

Yes. Cellulose fiber can be added through the skimmer to enhance the filtration performance of many sand filter systems by helping trap smaller particles that would otherwise pass through the filter bed.

Does cellulose filter media improve water clarity?

Yes. Cellulose fibers create a highly efficient filtration layer that captures fine dirt, oils, algae, pollen, and suspended particles, often resulting in noticeably clearer pool water.

Is cellulose fiber environmentally friendly?

Cellulose filter media is manufactured from renewable plant-based fibers and is biodegradable, making it a more sustainable alternative to traditional DE filtration products.
